Publicizing and copyright of documents “journals related to Manchuria”

１．Opening plan for library documents at the Digital Archives

　As part of the opening program of its valuable collections at the Digital Archives, the AIJ Library plans to publicize the entire text and image data of journals related to prewar Manchuria (published primarily during the years of 1925-1942) over two years from 2009.

Journal of Manchuria Technical Association                          94 issues, 8,500 pages

Manchurian Technology (renamed)                                         26 issues, 1,500 pages

 

[2010] (on schedule)

Journal of Manchuria Architectural Association 　　　            84 issues, 5,800 pages

Journal of Manchurian Architecture

(renamed, including one offprint copy)　　　　　　　　　　　　  97 issues, 7,200 pages　　　　 　 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　 　

２． Copyright associated with document publicizing
　The above-mentioned documents should normally be publicized after receiving permission from the copyright holders, but their contact details are not known because of the long time that has passed since their publication. The Library Committee therefore decided to publicly announce the publicizing on the web page to have the copyright holders or those concerned contact AIJ.

Anyone with knowledge about the copyright in the following lists of copyright holders is requested to contact us by Friday, November 21, 2009. Then AIJ will begin the procedure of reprint request.
